Work with us
Do you want to be part of a new and exciting adventure? Are you interested making a difference and making customers smile?
Why work with us?
We know that we are a bit quirky – after all, how many swimming pools exist in a shipping container! We know that we’re not well known in the leisure industry …. so perhaps you’re wondering why you would want to work with us?
Here at Swim in a Tin you will be part of a small but enthusiastic team who want to help our customers enjoy their swimming experience, regardless of whether they are elite triathletes or simply wanting to gain confidence in the water. You will be instrumental in helping to ensure that our customers have a great experience.
We’re keen to welcome new members to the Swim in a Tin team. If you have the desire to make a difference, are curious about the idea of a pool in a steel box and want to be part of a new and exciting adventure, then please contact us.
And don’t worry if you don’t think you have all the skills that we’re looking for, just give us a call.
After all, we’ll never throw you in at the deep end!
Swim in a Tin Coach
What will I be responsible for as a Swim in a Tin Coach?
As a Swim Coach at Swim in a Tin, you’ll be enthusiastic and keen to share your love of swimming with all members. You will need to work with adults or children to help them develop and grow their enjoyment of swimming. Importantly, you will want them to have fun, to leave with a smile on their face and to look forward to their next session.
Is the Swim in a Tin Coach role right for me?
You will be a Fully qualified Swimming Teacher, Swim England Level 1 and 2 or STA Award and Certificate. You must have a current first aid qualification and either be DBS cleared or be prepared to undertake a DBS check.
As important as the qualifications, we’re looking for team members with a great ‘can do’ attitude. You will need to be able to gain a good understanding of a swimmers needs and concerns and have the ability to communicate well with them. For our experienced swimmers, you will be able to advise on stroke improvement and for our least experienced swimmers, you will need to reassure and to encourage.
What's in it for me?
In addition to free access to the pool, you will be paid £20 per hour and have free parking, you will be based in a new building (ok … so a brand new, recently refurbished shipping container) in open countryside. We’re delighted to be at the beginning of something new with the team at Squab Hall as they develop the site to include an onsite café, a nature area close to other small businesses
